Next Day Orders If you require your order processed the same day for a Next Day or 2nd Day delivery, please call us by Noon Pacific Time (3 PM Eastern Time) at 866.278.2489 to make arrangements. If same day shipping can be arranged, you will be charged an expedite fee in addition to the actual shipping charges for the order.
Heavy, Oversize and Freight Truck Shipping Charges Oversize Items
An oversize item is a large (and/or heavy) item which can be shipped via standard carrier services (UPS, Fedex, etc.), but incurs a higher shipping charge due to the size and/or weight of the item. Oversize items include, but are not limited to,:
- computer desks
- drafting tables
- floor easels
- large canvasses
- taborets
- file cabinets
Orders containing items ordered in large quantities (clay and other casting materials, wood items such as stretcher strips, binder boards, gallon containers of any product, paper pads, etc.) will also be considered oversize. Oversize shipping charges can range from $35.00 and up for ground shipping depending on the size, weight, destination and shipping method selected. Expedited shipping methods are not recommended for oversize items.Freight Truck Items
A freight truck item is an extremely large (and/or heavy) item which requires the use of a freight truck. Freight truck items are not deliverable by standard carrier services (UPS, Fedex, etc.) and therefore cannot be expedited (ground shipping only). Freight truck items include, but are not limited to,:
- studio easels
- flat files
- large computer workstations
- large canvasses
- large drafting tables
- studio-size furniture (watercolor stations, etc).
Orders containing items ordered in large quantities may also require the use of a freight truck. Minimum freight truck shipping charge is $75.00. Actual freight truck shipping charge is based on size, weight, destination, delivery type and delivery options. Delivery type is either a business or residential delivery (business delivery is usually less expensive). Delivery options include liftgate (required for deliveries without a receiving dock, and most residential deliveries) and inside delivery (deliveries are made to the front door or receiving dock of the destination address - special arrangements must be made to deliver the shipment indoors or to upper floors).If your order contains oversize or freight truck items, we will contact you via e-mail to discuss the actual shipping charges for your order.
Aerosol Canisters and Hazardous Materials All aerosols and hazardous materials are shipped via Ground Services ONLY. Expedited shipping options for these items are not available, and will be changed to standard service.
Correctional Facilities We are unable to guarantee delivery of an item to an inmate of a correctional facility. Most facilities may accept books, but little else. If you are attempting to ship an order to an inmate of a correctional facility, please check that the facility will accept the package and its contents before placing your order.
